One of the great things about TPP is how everybody is equal, regardless of age, time at the company or previous experience. It’s amazing how we can always work as a team but also be given equal chances to shine individually. Since joining TPP, my communication skills have really improved and I am more direct when I express my ideas.

I applied to TPP for the international opportunities it offers. Having studied a language degree, I really wanted a role that either involved travelling or using the languages I’d studied. The Deployment Specialist role offered everything I’d been searching for in a career: International travel, a role making a positive impact and a company recognised as a great graduate employer.

Molly – Software Developer

University of Manchester – Mathematics

I applied to TPP as I wanted to stay in the North after getting a taste of how city life can be without a long commute into London. I spoke to a TPP employee at a careers fair and heard how I would be able to use the skills I learnt at uni on a product that benefits everyone- something which was really important to me. I was also drawn to the idea joining a relatively small company where my voice could be heard from day one.

Cloe – Software Developer

University of Durham – Mathematics and Psychology

When I was looking for a job, a good work environment was definitely one of my top priorities, so I was really happy to find such a friendly and collaborative place. In some ways, working at TPP is a bit like studying for your degree – you’re still solving interesting problems every day. The biggest distinction is that the things I’m working on are really relevant to real life and real people and it’s immediately obvious that the work that I’ve done affects how doctors work.

As a Software Developer (or “coder”), I write the code that makes the system work – right from the inner workings of SystmOne to making user interfaces more intuitive. I’ve been able to get stuck in to a variety of exciting projects – for example making adjustments to our clinical system for use in medical centres in Qatar for the world cup workers. I have enjoyed the occasional travel involved with the job, from running pub quizzes in London for recruitment to scoping out potential future sites in China!

Megan – Product Support Specialist

I love that I get to take ownership of pieces of work which I can see through to the end. An example of this is when I have worked closely with NHS Trusts, usually if they are having difficulty with issues on SystmOne. I attended meetings with these Trusts to make sure that their issues were resolved and they were happy with the end resolution. Tasks like this mean I’ve gained a lot of confidence since working here. I’m not afraid to voice my opinion and I am a lot better at speaking in public.
