I studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of York. I took on a couple of internships after graduating, but when I came to looking for a full time career I knew I wanted to work for a technology firm with lots of potential.
I came across TPP when I saw them in the Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for, so I knew they were a cut above the rest. I decided to apply when I did more research into how they were expanding internationally, working in two areas that were of great interest to me – technology and healthcare.
The work I’m doing here provides everything I wanted out of a career: Continued learning and development, the opportunities to build relationships and having a mixture between both technical and commercial work. At the moment I’m mostly working on the Middle-east projects, trying to expand TPP into the markets out there. It gives the work a real feeling of a ‘start-up’ company, and it’s been really exciting to see the company grow thanks to some of the relationships I’ve helped to build.
My work allows me to work autonomously, giving me the ability to manage my own workload and take on more responsibility than at any other firm I have had experience with. I’ve led meetings that I wouldn’t have even been invited to anywhere else – meeting multiple Ministries of Health, leaders of Public Health England and presenting to boards of directors.
The surrounding area of Leeds is great for maintaining all my hobbies. The nearby Yorkshire Dales is great for people like me who love getting outdoors and Leeds City Centre has a great music scene for attending gigs, or listening to live bands in one of your local bars.
Working at TPP has given me the confidence to do business anywhere in the world, taking me to places that I would never have the chance to see otherwise.Back to profiles
